Awiros packages services like Amazon EC2 as part of the offerings which allows customers to consume best-in-class video AI apps on a reliable and scalable AWS cloud platform with expandable compute instances. Amazon EC2 provides a wide selection of instance types optimized to fit different use cases. Amazon EC2 instances are designed to accelerate real-time video transcoding and deliver low-cost transcoding for live video streams. Being a video AI OS and marketplace, Awiros processes nearly 1000 hours of video per minute. To achieve this, an entire ecosystem of hardware optimization, software compatibility layers and developer support needs to be in place. In all these aspects, Intel has helped Awiros to not only build the technology but also scale it in a much faster way.
Awiros' solution was deployed on the EC2 compute infrastructure, which is based on the Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors. The 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors - powering the M6i, R6i, and C6i instances - offer better price perfor- mance, built-in AI acceleration with Intel® Deep Learning Boost (Intel® DL Boost), and built-in crypto acceleration. The processors allow the platform to run around 40 video AI applications on an enterprise grade rack appliance or server.
This is optimized by the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINOTM toolkit, which allows AppStack to make the most of the existing hardware without having to reinvent the hardware optimization from scratch. Awiros’ technology interfaces with the OpenVINO library from Intel to accelerate deep-learning inference on the CPUs.
